Warranty Coverage Plan

When you buy a Green Star Energy Home you buy the best, and for even more piece of mind each home comes with a solid home warranty plan.

Our solid home warranty. We pride ourselves on building a quality home that you will enjoy for years to come. But we know that from time to time warranty care is necessary. That is why we take a proactive approach to our warranty plan that begins before you move in. We want your new home in perfect condition when we hand you the keys.

Punch-Out Inspection: Prior to moving into your new Green Star Energy Home, you will be asked to complete a punch-out inspection in which you submit in writing a list of corrections, concerns or comments. This inspection is very important since this is the only time items of a cosmetic nature are considered for correction. For this reason, we ask that you carefully inspect all surfaces; open every door, window and drawer; and turn on every light switch and plumbing fixture.

30-Day Inspection: With so many details that go into building a home, you may not notice that some minor adjustments are needed until the home has been lived in. That is why we ask that you keep a list (excluding sod, landscaping, drywall, and paint) and contact us in writing after the first 30 days for any necessary adjustments. Requests must be received in writing using the Customer Care Request form, or by e-mail, fax, or mail.

One-Year Inspection: All new homes settle over the first year. If you notice some adjustments are needed, please keep a list and contact us in writing at your one-year anniversary mark. An exception to this procedure includes any emergency involving the failure of any component in your home that will cause immediate additional damage to the home such as water leaks, electrical malfunctions, etc., or any matter that may cause bodily harm.

After the first year, please contact your home warranty provider for all warranty matters. Refer to your home warranty document provided to you at closing for specific coverage, terms and limitations.
